Situated at Auckland International Airport, Air New Zealand Gas Turbines (ANZGT) specialises in the repair and overhaul of Gas Turbines used for Marine and Industrial purposes. Customer applications of these gas turbines include power stations, large ships, fast ferries and sizeable manufacturing or processing plants. ANZGT has a full depot-level overhaul facility licensed by General Electric for the repair of LM2500 and LM5000 engines. In addition a full 'Field Service' team is able to travel at short notice to assist with in-situ customer operating procedures and issues. These are supported by an experienced back up team providing engineering and logistics management.
To provide a complete overhaul service, ANZGT has an extensive and modern workshop facility with highly specialised processes, some unique in New Zealand. In a business expansion initiative, ANZGT is now offering its workshop facilities and processes as a commercial service to other industry sectors as Industrial Services. Specialised processes include Non Destructive Inspection, Specialised Welding (Electron Beam), Plasma Spray, Materials Testing, Balancing and more. TAE is Air New Zealand's Australian based subsidiary Gas Turbine MRO company, offering a comprehensive range of maintenance and repair solutions to the aviation industry. Capabilities include Gas Turbine MRO, Airframe and Engine Component MRO and management, Aerospace Manufacturing and Design/Asset Optimisation Engineering. With over 250 people across five Australian sites, TAE is headquartered at RAAF Base Amberley, near Ipswich in Queensland, and services the needs of both the Australian Defence Force and commercial aviation customers.
TAE also operates a purpose built climate controlled Aircraft Painting facility located in Richmond, New South Wales, specialising in painting and corrosion control for commercial, military and business aviation aircraft.
