Situated at Auckland International Airport, Air New Zealand Gas Turbines (ANZGT) specialises in the repair and overhaul of Gas Turbines used for Marine and Industrial purposes. Customer applications of these gas turbines include power stations, large ships, fast ferries and sizeable manufacturing or processing plants. ANZGT has a full depot-level overhaul facility licensed by General Electric for the repair of LM2500 and LM5000 engines. In addition a full 'Field Service' team is able to travel at short notice to assist with in-situ customer operating procedures and issues. These are supported by an experienced back up team providing engineering and logistics management.
To provide a complete overhaul service, ANZGT has an extensive and modern workshop facility with highly specialised processes, some unique in New Zealand. In a business expansion initiative, ANZGT is now offering its workshop facilities and processes as a commercial service to other industry sectors as Industrial Services. Specialised processes include Non Destructive Inspection, Specialised Welding (Electron Beam), Plasma Spray, Materials Testing, Balancing and more. Capabilities include Gas Turbine MRO, Airframe and Engine Component MRO and management, Aerospace Manufacturing and Design/Asset Optimisation Engineering.
